What options are available for long-term parking?
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport offers two parking options:
- Bear Lot: Located just steps from the terminal entrance, this lot charges $12 per day.
- Elk Lot: Situated a short walk from the baggage claim area, this economy lot charges $6 per day.
Both lots are suitable for long-term parking.
What are the rates for short-term parking?
For stays under 12 hours, both lots have the following rates:
- First 30 minutes: Free
- Next 30 minutes: $2 in Bear Lot; $1 in Elk Lot
- Each additional hour (up to 12 hours): $6 per hour in both lots, with a maximum charge of $40
After 12 hours, the daily rates of $12 for Bear Lot and $6 for Elk Lot apply.
Can I reserve parking ahead of time?
Prepaid parking is available but limited due to capacity constraints. Prepaid tickets are not offered for durations less than 12 hours and may be unavailable during peak travel periods such as Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s, Spring Break, and Fall Break. It's not mandatory to prepay for parking at ASE.
Is there a free waiting lot for picking up arrivals?
While there isn't a designated cell phone waiting lot, both parking lots offer the first 30 minutes free, allowing drivers to wait for arriving passengers without incurring charges.
Where is valet parking, and how much does it cost?
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport does not offer valet parking services. Travelers should utilize the self-parking options available in the Bear and Elk Lots.
Can electric vehicles (EVs) charge onsite?
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) does not currently offer on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. However, several charging facilities are available nearby:
- Aspen Skiing Company: Located at 117 Aspen Airport Business Center, this station is approximately 1 mile from the airport.
- Rio Grande Parking Garage: Situated at 427 Rio Grande Place in Aspen, about 4 miles from the airport, this garage offers multiple charging options:
