Overview

The Denver International Airport (DEN) is North America's largest airport site, spanning nearly 34,000 acres. Each year, this airport serves over 77 million passengers. In 2023, the Airports Council International named Denver International Airport the third-busiest airport for passenger traffic in the U.S. This airport is also a hub for several major airlines, including Frontier Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. DEN is made up of one terminal known as the Jeppesen Terminal. Within this main terminal, the airport is broken into A, B, and C concourse areas.


Where Can I Eat and Drink at DEN Concourse A?

Passengers flying out of the A gate area in Denver International Airport have plenty of options for food and beverage across the concourse. Near Gate A18 is Tacos Tequila Whiskey, a popular Denver dining spot that serves flavorful tacos using locally sourced ingredients. Directly next to this restaurant is Elway's Taproom & Grill, offering a huge selection of American fare like burgers and salads.

Many quick-serve and grab-n-go spots are located across the concourse as well, such as Pizza Hut and the Grab n' Go Marketplace. For a caffeine fix, stop by Peet's Coffee near Gate A20.


What Can I Buy at DEN Concourse A?

The center of Concourse A is home to several places to shop, from bookstores to gift stores. If you want to bring home a fun souvenir, check out the Spirit of the Red Horse gift shop. This store offers a broad offering of trinkets and gifts inspired by Native American culture. You can also shop tax-free at the Denver Duty-Free store, which sells beauty products, liquor, and more. Other stores in DEN Concourse A include Sunglass Hut, Tattered Cover Bookstore, and InMotion.


Where Can I Relax at DEN Concourse A?

DEN Concourse A has several airline lounges, including the Delta Sky Club and United Club. If you don't have access to these lounges, check out the "rest and recharge" area located in the concourse's central portion. This area is home to many relaxing lounger chairs, charging outlets, and privacy partitions. This relaxation area is completely free to use by all guests! There is also an outdoor deck by Gate A15 if you'd like to get some fresh air while you wait for your flight.


What Else Can I Do at DEN Concourse A?

DEN Concourse A has several restrooms and nursing stations located throughout the main gate areas. You'll also find several pet relief areas to take advantage of if you are traveling with a pet. Several ATMs are scattered throughout both ends of Concourse A.


Departing From DEN Concourse A

The gates in Concourse A are accessible by train or through the passenger bridge. It takes about three minutes to get to Concourse A after passing through security in the main Jeppesen Terminal area. There are a total of 39 Concourse A gates. All international flights depart from Concourse A.


Arriving at DEN Concourse A

Once you arrive in DEN Concourse A, you'll need to take the train back to the main concourse area or walk via the passenger walkway. Here, you'll head to baggage claim if you are retrieving checked luggage. The baggage claim is located on Level 5.
